Kiosk Plans, Neighborhood Investment Project Grant and Donation from Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners

During 2019, OCPS received a Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) administered by the City of Shreveport. Currently, OCPS is installing a kiosk containing interpretive signage regarding the history of the cemetery and a walking tour map.

OCPS also received a Neighborhood Investment Project grant from the City. These proceeds will be used to plant trees in the cemetery along with the necessary irrigation equipment.

The Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners donated $1,500 to OCPS, and those proceeds will be added to the NIP grant project referenced above.
